Is it a push towards Beta

I know it's not just me.

Blogger has been Abysmal this week, especially over the last couple of days.

But is it just the current version of Blogger, or is the Beta suffering also

Enquiring minds need to know.

Well, I just published to blogger, this blog, first time. But that's the first time in over two weeks I've been able to do so without wanting to reach down the wire and throttle the Blogger servers. I assume (possibly wrongly) that the guys at Blogger are allocating hardware/processor time to Beta users, rather than Blogger "Classic".

This may be a ploy to get people to switch, or it may just be becasue Beta needs the extra horsepower. The effect is the same, whatever the motivation. Blogger sucks, it's mainly slow and often fails altogether. But as I often remind myself, it's free and you get what you pay for :(

And I can't comment on Beta as although I have an account I don't use it yet.

I'm a beta blogger. For the most part Beta has been holding up well but we do have our own problems but of course its beta and working out the kinks is what its all about.

They are trying to integrate the original blogger into the beta version. Hopefully it is a smooth transition, so people won't lose there existing blogs. Beta has been working pretty well, sometimes it is slow. I set up a beta blog just in case I lose my original.
Beta is a whole new software package. I like it. One thing about it is that if you view, and copy the code, say on my page, it won't work. Much coding will not show up, like "the all important widgets".
There are a few people that are hacking the beta code and putting out some nice options, and blogger is listening to them. This is how I got some of my 3 column code, which blogger doesn't have.
