Am I the Only One Unable to Log In to Adult Blog Hub?
OK, I joined Adult Blog Hub and hope to become a posting demon like Tara Tainton. But my problem is that I can't log in. I've been working with the tech support people, and no luck. They, of course, can log in just fine. They tell me "it's your computer, asshole, it won't accept cookies." Well, that's not true. I have re-set my browser to accept third party cookies, have lowered my security setting to the lowest, and purged the cache of old cookies. Nada. When I log in, the screen simply blots out my password and waits for me to enter it again, staying in that "loop" without end.
And this is the only site I can't log into. Anyone else having this problem and any solutions that worked for you?

Just to put the record straight the text of my last email to you read:

The site is fine, it's most likely that your browser is not accepting
cookies. They are used as part of the security system so without them your
identity cannot be validated. I can't advise on the exact settings for your
browser as that is a personal choice you have to make but I'm suprise that
ABH is causing you a problem as the security is solid but pretty standard.
So all I can advise is that you check your security settings and try again.

I'd appreciate it if the next time you "quote" me you do so accurately.
Furthermore I'd like to say that occasionally we do have problems where people cannot log in to the site for any number of reasons, from lost passwords to weird browser toolbars and plugins blocking features of ABH. I'm more than happy to continue to help you log in, but as I said in the email I cannot specifically tell you how to configure your browser as it may affect your ability to use other sites.
At this moment in time I am only aware of one other user unable to log in to the site and we are working the problem through with them.

Try Mozilla Firefox blessed and sexy people- don't argue about technology....
Louis, I think I quoted the sense of your message, as I feel quite foolish and nothing you've said makes that any different. I changed the settings as I reported to you, but that did nothing to correct the problem. Your solutions, in other words, were not helpful, and so I sought help here, where I've often gotten good advice with these matters.
I'm sorry if my sarcastic sense of humor offended. It's just a little frustrating.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Tom, but I think I may have solved the problem. It seems that Tom had two accounts at ABH with very similar names.
Thanks to Tom for highlighting this interesting point. If you do register with ABH and have problems please email us and please be patient. We do try to email you back as soon as possible, but if you don't get a response immediately please don't re-register! We do deal with all queries eventually :)
Oh, and I'll make sure we link to SBC from ABH, great resource.
Update: despite Louis's efforts, I am still unable to log on to ABH. He is a nice person who is trying to help, but that doesn't change the fact that I can't get on to log in my posts.
I've had this problem on other sites before and the problem was actually a firewall setting on my machine.
If you have XP, go to your Control Panel, then Security and you should see a Firewall setting and it is probably "ON". Try turning it off and then try to log onto the site. It's risky, absolutely, but when I had this trouble in the past, that's what it was.

Windows firewall is "off." Norton personal firewall is "off." No difference. Tara, I don't think I'm going to be able to challenge your posting frequency....
Tom appears to be successfully posting on ABH now, so I'm assuming that the last changes I made to ABH have allowed him to log in.
