Plagiarism

I've recently found a blog which has copied some of my content.

I've 'Contacted' the Abuse contact through the form, but my protests seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

I thought that Alex and Suze had an area to tackle this sort of thing, but my mind's paying tricks.

How has anyone else dealt with someone stealing their content?

Yep. There is a post up about it.

"What do you do when someone steals your content".

Mr G, you are correct we do have a system for reporting this.

You need to visit our site and click on the "No Yoink" button at the bottom of the screen. There is also a link to it on the sidebar of this blog.

I had this problem when I first started. Someone took some of my stuff and didn't give me any credit. I hated to do it but I put a Creative Commons copyright on my page. I have no idea if it works but I haven't heard of any more posting of my writing.

If you can find the persons email and isp, you can send a complaint email to both.

It is sadly a major problem. A non-sex site for which I write is constantly being hijacked by "sploggers." These fuckers are generally part of the affilate blogger crowd who's sole purpose is to make money by any means necessary. It pisses me off to no end, and I hope those theives all die painful deaths.

PS. By affiliate bloggers, I am not speaking of us folks who run affilate ads on our sites, but these douchebags who run "affiliate marketing" blogs.

Yes, in my case while lifting my post they were also dumb enough to hotlink an image so I just replaced the image with one that said "This post has been plagiarized from Lumpesse.com". I posted about it and regret not calling them out more publicly. But the blog died pretty quickly anyway. People without their own ideas don't last long around these parts.
